Team Spirit Secures Spot in TI10 with Dominant Run

In a thrilling finale, Team Spirit has emerged as the first team to qualify for The International 10 (TI10) after defeating Empire in the grand finals of the Eastern Europe/CIS regional qualifier. The dominant run through the qualifying rounds culminated in a hard-fought 3-2 victory over a surging Empire on Sunday.

Led by Illya 'Yatoro' Mulyarchuk and Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Kehrte, who both notched a game-high eight kills, Spirit opened the finals with a convincing win against Empire. They then went on to defeat PuckChamp and HellRaisers to reach the grand finals.

Meanwhile, Empire, despite being heavy underdogs, put up an impressive display of resilience by rampaging through the lower bracket to earn their spot in the grand finals. The team cruised past Winstrike and Team Unique before pulling off a huge upset over regional powerhouse Natus Vincere.

With this win, Spirit earned the top seed in the qualifier after finishing second in Season 2 of the Eastern Europe/CIS regional league and getting into the Top 8 of the WePlay AniMajor. The team's impressive performance has set them up for a strong run at TI10.
